Hip Scarves: There is not a single belly dance studio that does not have hip scarves to buy if you want want. At Ancient Moves, we have all shapes, colors, sizes and price ranges ($25 to $50).
All are imported from Egypt.
Silk Veils and Accessories: Karima creates her own line of hand painted or dyed silk veils, tops and hip scarves which are distributed throughout the world (see ad to the left).

Brantford's Only Belly Dance FOCUSED studio: Previously affiliated with a Toronto M.E.D. school, Karima Helou established her own belly dance umbrella since moving to Brantford, Ontario in 2002. Ancient Moves Dance Company was officially born in 2006 and has nestled into a beautiful studio that specializes in this art form only. Area women can now enjoy the benefits of this art as a regular part of their fitness schedule and achieve far beyond beginner levels if they desire. Ancient Moves Studio cultivates a unique, relaxed atmosphere (staying true to the art) where there are no signs of dance competition or attitude. Students benefit most in a setting where they are inspired to grow in their own way ... enjoying a beautiful, blissful escape to the belly dance world.
Classes run all the time at all levels: Beginner, Recreational, Intermediate, Advanced and Specialization. Exciting, guaranteed original choreographies.

Ancient Moves Studio teaches students the parameters of the "line of dance" to offer structure and uniformity to their presentations; particularly as it is applied to freestyle interpretations. We also offer original choreographies in group and solo lessons. Only one choreography is taught per season at each level. Here are 26 of our favourites:
